Performance
The Apple Vision Pro operates on a dual-core variant of Apple's M2 chipset, accompanied by an innovative R1 chip. This R1 chip handles data from 12 cameras, five sensors, and six microphones to guarantee accurate presentation of content in front of the user's eyes.
Furthermore, the R1 chip has the capability to swiftly stream fresh images to the displays within a mere 12 milliseconds, surpassing the speed of a blink.
Battery
The headset comes with a "high-performance" custom portable battery pack, providing up to two hours of backup power from an external source. However, users have the flexibility to utilize the headset throughout the day by keeping it plugged in.
Headset Controls
The Apple Vision Pro offers the ability to unlock the device using your eyes, or more precisely, your retina, through a secure authentication system called Optic ID. This system analyzes your iris for identification purposes.
Moreover, the VisionOS can be controlled without the need for physical controllers, utilizing your eyes, hands, and voice. You can effortlessly navigate through apps by directing your gaze or tapping your fingers for selections, scrolling by flicking your wrist, or utilizing your voice for dictation.
Apple’s EyeSight
Apple has also unveiled Apple EyeSight, a feature that creates a transparent sensation when someone approaches you while wearing the headset. This remarkable functionality enables both parties to see each other's eyes through the device.
